Okay, long time no update because I've been busy devoting my efforts into my LiveJournal account rather than here. I'm sorry, but yes. The tagboard here is as dead as a doornail.

Anyway, just a quick note: the book, It's I'MPOSSIBLE, which I illustrated, will be launched next month. I'm really hoping there will be people going to support us ex-JJ students (author, co-author and the illustrator, yours truly). More details will be supplied before the event.

The book's website can be found here: Only a few pieces of my work are posted there: but if you would be as kind as to mosey over and take a look, I'd be happy. (I'd be happier if you bought a copy, hint hint.)

You can get a postcard from me FOC as well as pre-order the book by telling me. Or you can just follow the instructions on the website. It's that easy to get your hands on it, and it's dirt cheap when you pre-order. Oh, and they don't come with my autograph, you'll have to chase after me yourself *grins*

And yes, I am back from visiting family in Malaysia. Bought plenty of barang-barang at low, low prices. For the full inventory, you can shift to the left, there's a link to my LJ page where you can view the dirties.

I traveled light - I donated blood while over in Penang. Not gonna donate in Singapore any more, because they pay you for the blood donated in Penang, Yes, for one bulging bag of blood (that part is always nasty no matter where you go) you get RM60 (roughly S$30) worth of supermarket vouchers. Here, you get a brightly coloured elastic bandage. No brainer which one is more popular.

Pros: Nice bed to lie down in, free television, if something goes wrong, the emergency unit is one speedy gurney ride away, vouchers of course, comprehensive blood check for hepatitis and other abnormalities with results in a few hours, professionals doing the blood drawing, free hot Milo.

Cons: Stabbed with a needle three times (once to draw a vial for testing, once to put in the local anesthetic which incidentally does not work and the final time to suck out the blood), PAIN (the blood needle is the size of a bloody Vitagen straw - I'm not exaggerating), even though the nurses are pros, they managed to tug on my needle while it was still in me. Yowch,

Anyway, both arms (one for testing, the other for drawing the bag) are awfully sore now and the usual restrictions apply. No running even though I feel FAT (and since when is that new?) and no heavy lifting, but that last one went out the window. Darn heavy luggage.
