I am loved.

Valentine's Day has come and gone and this year, I have quite the haul.

The is the first (and hopefully not last!) time I got so many many goodies. On one hand, I didn't know so many people cared. And on the other, there were quite a few disappointments.

Some people I was expecting to give me something - anything - didn't. Some people just out of the blue dug into their bags and gave me candy. To all those who contributed to my precious booty shown above, thanks. I'll never be able to eat everything asap without turning into one gigantic pimple, but ya. You get the idea.

Valentine's Day isn't bad for a day honouring some priest who dedicated his life to performing marriages. Especially when it replaces Lupercalia, a Roman festival where teenagers got together and had sex all day long. Fortunately (or unfortunately), Valentine's Day today is very much tamer. Indeed, it's become a celebration of consumerism, a partner of Christmas.

Today is actually also the first day of OGL camp for the J1 leaders. Crashed the mass dance session partnering Yu Feng and later Tommy, doing 'Geeks', 'Rock Around The Clock', 'Ain't It Funny' and 'Pop Ye Ye'. Tommy got super high doing his favourite activity: mass dance. When I pushed him away during 'Ain't It Funny', he got 'upset' and indignantly walked out of the hall, shouting at the top of his voice. Crazy stuff.

Freaking tired this week. Even though I slept early on Monday night, I still was as tired as hell on Tuesday. In the end, I decided since anyway I'll still be tired and sleepy no matter how much sleep I get, I might as well get a little sleep and spend the extra time doing work. And so I did. Several tutorials cleared, with significantly less blank spaces this week. Although I did doze off once or twice without realising it (dangerous trait of mine) during lectures, overall I quite like the results. I think I will continue this next week.

You know, thinking back to me this week, the logical conclusion I reached is that I died a few days ago and somebody reanimated my corpse. Must utilise irritatibilty to keep myself functioning from now on.

Gosh I'm buggered.

Just came back from OGL camp. The place where we receive the training needed to survive Orientation 1 as a fully-fledged OGL.

As usual, I'm exhausted both physically and mentally. I knew I was already out of shape thanks to the school holidays and weeks of relative inactivity, but thanks to the Night Games, I am completely, totally whacked.

Night Games is already damn notorious for making wash-up prior to it pointless, but this one really did it for me. I finished the night soaked, panting and red inh the face, almost ready to call in to the Command Centre sick.

However, as much as I abhor strenous physical activity (kind of strange, considering I keep on signing on for JJ camps), this Night Games was especially fun. We played a Cluedo rip-off, the objective of which was to discover who killed Hu Nakamura (out of 5 suspects) where using what. Great fun.

That was one of the high points of the camp. Low points include the scolding Mr Chua gave us after Kinetic Warfare and the irritating fire drill. Though we haven't reached true OGL status yet, I certainly hope we are on the way. Okay, I should shut up now.

Lights out was at 1 am and we were rudely awakened at 4 am for a fire drill. Just like old times in Orientation 2. The difference was that I was a Shadow then and I'm an ordinary OGL now. That didn't really matter, considering that I was exactly the same during those two drills: exhausted and blurry. Things change, no matter how much they stay the same.

But the good thing was I discovered my sixth sense. Way too early this morning, I had already anticipated a fire drill. When the siren sounded, I was up and getting ready before I realised I was awake. This can be a handy skill exclusively for fire drills. =)

Anyway, back home in one piece, apart from some very, VERY minor injuries (mild rope burn, scrapes and bruises). But this is merely the first step in a series of never-ending events, before it all grinds to a screeching halt next week. I won't be updating as frequently anymore, I need to study for that (thankfully postponed) gosh-swoggled Maths test next Monday. Raah.
