I am loved. Valentine's Day has come and gone and this year, I have quite the haul. The is the first (and hopefully not last!) time I got so many many goodies. On one hand, I didn't know so many people cared. And on the other, there were quite a few disappointments. Some people I was expecting to give me something - anything - didn't. Some people just out of the blue dug into their bags and gave me candy. To all those who contributed to my precious booty shown above, thanks. I'll never be able to eat everything asap without turning into one gigantic pimple, but ya. You get the idea. Valentine's Day isn't bad for a day honouring some priest who dedicated his life to performing marriages. Especially when it replaces Lupercalia, a Roman festival where teenagers got together and had sex all day long. Fortunately (or unfortunately), Valentine's Day today is very much tamer. Indeed, it's become a celebration of consumerism, a partner of Christmas. Today is actually also the first day of OGL camp for the J1 leaders. Crashed the mass dance session partnering Yu Feng and later Tommy, doing 'Geeks', 'Rock Around The Clock', 'Ain't It Funny' and 'Pop Ye Ye'. Tommy got super high doing his favourite activity: mass dance. When I pushed him away during 'Ain't It Funny', he got 'upset' and indignantly walked out of the hall, shouting at the top of his voice. Crazy stuff. Freaking tired this week. Even though I slept early on Monday night, I still was as tired as hell on Tuesday. In the end, I decided since anyway I'll still be tired and sleepy no matter how much sleep I get, I might as well get a little sleep and spend the extra time doing work. And so I did. Several tutorials cleared, with significantly less blank spaces this week. Although I did doze off once or twice without realising it (dangerous trait of mine) during lectures, overall I quite like the results. I think I will continue this next week. You know, thinking back to me this week, the logical conclusion I reached is that I died a few days ago and somebody reanimated my corpse. Must utilise irritatibilty to keep myself functioning from now on. Labels: mass dance, OGL camp, valentine's day |
