Just a quick note. I might do a little rambling but that's a whole different story. Now, I will be going back to Malaysia for Chinese New Year this Saturday and coming back in a week's time, so nobody come looking for me the whole of next week. I'll only be logging onto the Internet periodically which I think is a good thing, considering I've been plugged in practically the past month and a half. What have I been up to? Nothing much, actually. Not that it would be that interesting. I went back to a deserted JJC (only J2s in that place) to meet up with a few juniors and wander around the place. It might sound a little crazy, but everywhere I went, I saw ghostly apparitions of the past. Not literally, but figuratively. I wouldn't expect anything less from the place I spent the most time in after home. Happened to meet my favourite senior, Germaine outside the school and we had a nice chat. I still don't know what I'm going to do with the rest of my life, the only ambitions I have right now are either juvenile or not likely to happen for a good long time. I got to start growing up. My first step was to rip all my posters off the walls in my room. Those of you who have been to my place know that the walls are covered in Harry Potter posters, some quite expensive. (Don't worry, I took them off nicely and even spent an hour cleaning the Blutack off the walls.) My mum has never been happier, commenting my room looks so nice and bright (the main theme used to be black). Anyway, I am nearly 20 so I should think it's time to start acting like an adult. Not to mention I am no longer that rabid over Harry Potter. Rowling kind of killed it for me with Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows. Am I going to buy Beedle the Bard? Don't make me laugh. But I am a bit adrift. I spent 12 years of my life with Harry, from 1997 til now. I needed a new obsession... enter InuYasha. Oh joy. I didn't mean to get hooked on InuYasha, it just so happened that Okto (the new television love of my life since Singapore free-to-air TV sucks big time)happened to run an InuYasha month-long special on Saturday nights. I got nothing better to do, since one can't study when my mum is busy in the room so I ended up watching the movies. They weren't so bad, so I went on Wiki to read up. That's my excuse for entering the fandom so late. (If my mum had picked InuYasha off the shelf instead of Harry's first book, it could have been a different story.) In any case, it's a good manga and anime for the supernatural elements and compelling storyline. Rumiko Takahashi knows how to write good romcom (romantic comedy). I was seriously thinking of getting InuYasha stuff to fill my walls again... Screw this, maybe I should remain immature for the rest of my life. Abayo! |
