Okay. My life, as of one week after A Levels, is officially boring. Not only did my handphone get stolen, but I am so freaking... domestic. And shopping for prom sucks. Those that do know me, I am tall (and fat), therefore in Singapore context I am BIG and it's not easy for me to get something that fits. The sizes here must run from Fairy to Midget to Malnourished African Child to Twiggy to 12-Year-Old Child, just that they label them XS, S, M, L and XL just to appear non-discriminatory to horizontally-challenged people. I am never ever going for any more formal events out of my own free will! Never! I'll be dragged kicking and screaming (wearing acceptable attire, natch) to the next formal dress do I go in my life. I believe some people aren't meant to dress up. (Like Joe Gargery.) I shouldn't have bought a ticket in the first place! Come to think of it, I wasn't intending to go, just that I changed my mind later on. Whoever talked me into it ought to go into Debate. Anyway, rambling doesn't help. My little sis suggested a strict carb deprivation all the way up 'til Monday but I don't see how that'll help. I mean, if there really was a way to lose 10 kg in 5 days, the creators will be millionaires. Still, can't say I've been idling. Ha! I cook, clean and do a mean load of laundry (as long as it's not Underwear Day.) I draw, write, run, read, play squash and laze around the house, sleeping at odd hours of the day. So much for being really busy with social outings when A Levels end, neh? There's just so much other stuff to do... as long as it doesn't involve actual work. I haven't got around to getting a job yet. Maybe I should work overseas? My parents have (sadly) informed me that my plans to go backpacking around New Zealand are not feasible without a friend (or friends) to go with. Feh. So looks like I gotta work if I ever want to get out and about. Hmmm... or maybe I enjoy loafing and reading endless stacks of manga. |
