I am back, people. MUAHAHAHA. Whether you missed me or not remains to be seen. *stares ominously*Pre-U Sem was a real BLAST. I thought it wouldn't be that fun because first of all, none of my JJ friends were going, second, majority of participants are J1s (which makes me feel OLD.) But it was really really fun! :) I was in seminar group 10. All the seminar groups are sorted so there is only one person from each pre-university institution in each group. There are a total of 23 people in my my group, out of the 26 participating schools. But man, we had fun. ![]() Posing on the NTU School of Arts (which has a roof of grass) ![]() And again... ![]() Sandeep (my SLO)'s going crazy! ![]() And yet again... ![]() Finally satisfied with camwhoring on the roof! We love to pose for photos! Check out my blazer! JJC forever! Lol Who's taking who's picture. Instead of paying attention to the presenting school, we do this. Making use of the mirror to carry on a family tradition. I never met such a crazy bunch of people in my life. And put together, we absolutely loved camwhoring. We took approximately 1000+ photos in the 5 days, thanks to the cameramen 'Flasher' Yi'en and Prab. :D And as usual, I always look unglam. I must be the most unlucky person in the history of camwhoring: I look unglam in posed shots and SUPER unglam in candid shots. And it didn't help that many of the shots taken were candid. *sighs then recovers quickly* I remember on the first day or something like that, the teacher doing the briefing told us to be on our best behaviour because we were the "ambassadors of our respective institutions". I hope I represented JJC well enough *fingers crossed* . I taught the seminar group how to play 'Japanese Whisper' and as a result, my SLO Sandeep is highly important (she's America's Next Top Model and holds the secret of Mas Selamat's whereabouts). So what have I learned? For one thing, court shoes are murder. The councillors complain about wearing them. HAH. I was lucky. Since mine are expensive, I got away with one minor blister after stuffing them with socks and tissue. Some of the others weren't so lucky, sustaining nasty red-raw blisters. Oh, the agony of tramping around the NTU campus with a horrible pair of hobblers. Guys get off easy. Reminds me of a quote from She's The Man: Viola (Amanda Bynes) [on the phone with her mother]: No, I will not wear heels. Everyone knows they're men's inventions designed to make a woman's butt look smaller. And to stop her from running away. Anyway, one bad thing did come out of Pre-U Sem. :( I have been uglified. My weird, weird eczema (which attacks only once a year) mutated into rosacea, a nasty skin disorder which seriously uglified me. How bad is it? Well, I can make grown men blanch, children burst into tears and run for their mummies and others recoil in shock and horror. But it's quite okay now because I'm on a course of medication which has (thankfully) improved my looks. I went and looked it up on the Internet immediately (I always do that) and found that lots of famous people have it. Bill Clinton, Princess Diana, Rembrandt, Mariah Carey... I am not alone in my unglamness :) Looking forward to being back in the real world, i.e. back to studying. Ugh. Got to mug for Common Tests, coming up soon. Labels: camwhoring, fun, pre-u sem |
