Tell me when the March holidays have started.Seriously, I can't believe it's Wednesday night, almost Thursday, and I've been run ragged off my feet. First up, on Monday was the Sports camp. That was quite fun, what with the mental focusing workshops and the motivational movie. The Line Camp was running at the same time, though we hardly ever met with them. Mealtimes and washing up times were scheduled so we wouldn't clash. No word on whether the toilets managed to have a break. Sports camp broke at 1pm on Tuesday. Insane me wanted to camp overnight until Wednesday to help out in the Line Camp, because I had extra stuff and everything. :) In the end, I went out for lunch with Hema and went home to mug. I did go back to school in the evening, to disturb Davina and for mass dance. Line Night was really fun, as these nights always are. However, this time I kept slipping out, whether for fresh air or to scavenge a bite to eat. I must be getting jaded. Before I know it, I'll start getting bored of JJ Night. *screams in horror* Something bad happened, though. I didn't see how exactly it happened, but one of my campers from MAD camp last year, coming back for another camp, got badly injured. Her knee looked quite bad, with bulges in the wrong places. Interestingly enough, she wasn't crying, her facillitators were. The 26th batch of council plus leaders handled it quite well, getting the other facillitators and other seniors to form a human barrier around the scene. We all then started doing 'Chori Chori' as though nothing was wrong to make sure the other campers didn't see anything and kept the mood high. Eventually, the ambulance paramedics managed to take her away, with the help of some of the seniors and things went back to normal. I caught up with my boy, Weiting :) After the campers and facillitators had left the hall, I helped clean up the hall. The highlight was the balloons! :) There were two archways made with helium balloons and instead of cutting them up, they drew both strings of balloons together into one great mass then took photos! Size comparision between me and the balloons. Grace's turn. Xinyi's nearly carried away. And the balloons nearly carry me away, whoa! After all the fuss, Grace and I go out for dinner. We talked and talked and talked... Later on we were discussing some serious stuff which I won't summarise here just in case this blog gets screened for controversial opinions. Really wanted to stay overnight in school again but had to go home and sleep because of a squash friendly at Victoria JC today. Incidentally, the location of this place really makes me love JJ all the more. It's already bad enough that the school is in the East. Some more, the nearest MRT is Eunos. And that is a 20-minute taxi ride away. So you get a good idea of how far away it is from this corner of Singapore I live in. I'm whacked already and I'm not done yet. There's still an OG outing tomorrow and Chem lesson on Friday. Rawr. Labels: balloons, line camp, sports camp |
