Going back to blogging.Last Friday, there was a mass dance session for J1 OGLs. Yingming, Glennda, Weixiang and I happily crashed. Yeah! I think we still got the Orientation fever. It was just like old times, ya. Cute little OGLs (cannot call them campers anymore) standing in their pairs, agog at the emcees on stage. Pearlyn's successor (I think her name is Gadis) did a great job, as well as this guy I remember standing beside me during Song-singing. First, we warmed up with 'Pump It'! Us senior OGLs went crazy, shaking it like nobody's business. I had loads of fun dancing with a cute Games Shadow named Andrew. A bit surprising to find Evan and Yufeng on stage teaching, though. Would have expected Zheyuan's or Jasmine's successor up there already. But who really cares? As long as they're learning, there's plenty of time to get up there. And learning they are. Later, during family time, I spotted some SCDC shadows practicing 'Five Colours' enthusiastically, so much so the guy kept kicking the wall whenever he hopped backward. You go, guys! Much to our (OGLs) surprise, the next song was 'Rock Around The Clock'. Little rusty at that one. I ended up ditching poor clueless Andrew to dance with Gerald. To set the record straight here, I , for the life of me, cannot understand why he and Peng Tiong are such undesirable dance partners. Gerald and I had a fantastic time screwing up the song. :) Just to put here, the J1s are incredibly cute. The councillors and teachers did a great job initiating the J1s. When some of my fellow OGLs walked in and joined me by the side (they were all girls), a few guys stopped gay dancing and walked up to them. "Seniors, would you like to dance? Some of us need a partner." How sweet! I accepted, of course. I had to skip off around that time, though. I was late for freaking squash. When I came back, they were learning 'Pop Ye Ye', an old mass dance which unfortunately had not been passed down to my batch. I don't care if it skips a generation, just as long as it gets handed down. Same for the next song I don't know the title of, but it gave me a hell of a time learning the moves.
