Today was game trial cum mass dance session for OGLs. I went, despite nursing a dodgy gut.Nothing out of the ordinary today, everything went as JJ events always do. We learned a new dance, next year's batch dance to the song 'The Geeks Get The Girls'. Really complicated, with loads of turning and changing position, especially for the girls. I was feeling dizzy already from all that spinning, and I was dancing the guy's part. Imagine the time I'll have when I dance the girl's part. Anyway, the process of learning mass dance is always great fun, 'specially when your partner's as bad as you are. Siti Nazeha and I had a fabulous time turning and posing 'til we wanted to either puke or die laughing. We were always either a beat too fast or too slow. Before we learnt the new stuff, we did 3 old favourites: Pump It, Oh My Darling and Five Colours. As usual, I danced like a maniac. Hope I can grasp the steps for this new dance before Orientation. I'm really, really slow at learning dances (caused my Westzone 1 family to pull their hair out) and my family hasn't even started choreographing our family dance. Go figure. After all that, we had the usual OGL debrief. Won't say anything about it here lest I catch it again but nothing of great importance happened, other than the OGL camp being postponed to the 27th and 28th. Also, apparently we were so bad, there's going to be another mass dance practice next week, on the 21st. Hope the dance steps don't leak out of my head before then, I don't fancy having to relearn the dance from scratch. Other than waiting for events like these, I'm bored stiff. I even feel like finding and doing more of Mr Leow's Maths worksheets, that's how bored I am. *grins* I'm not allowed to get a job, my parents want me to concentrate on my studies, and my friends are busy. Argh, I might not survive these hols, man. Labels: games trial, mass dance, ogl |
