Hello people.Just a quick note that updates here will be short and infrequent, owing to the fact that I am not in Singapore currently and will not be until around the 15th to the 16th. I will definitely be back by the time the OGL postings go up (since when would I miss such an important event???). Will be online on MSN Messenger when I can, like tonight or tomorrow night. I've even taken my Maths and Chem homework overseas with me so I expect to be damn busy. Oh, anyway, I'm supposed to be blogging about the M.A.D. camp outing at Palawan Beach, Sentosa yesterday. It was damn fun, with everybody floundering in the water except for me and a few choice others. I nearly got pulled in (thrice) though, the first time yanked in by Gerald and saved only when I waved my handphone about. The others were not as lucky, being ambushed and dragged in the instant they arrived and emptied their pockets of valuable, non-waterproof articles. (In some cases, this was done for them.) Anyway, I sneaked off with a new friend from S11 (I dare not put her name here, just in case I mispelled it and I HATE careless spelling) to buy giant Slurpees and drink them from the observation tower on the southernmost tip of Asia, the sandbar set off the main coast of Palawan Beach. Incidentally. for all those who haven't searched Youtube for JJ-related videos, the beach and the bridge connecting the sandbar with the main island was the setting for the mass dance videos 'Pump It' and 'Oh My Darling'. The conversation was jolly good, the Slurpees refreshing and the weather wonderfully cool and breezy. Later on, we returned to the madding crowd (i.e. the MAD campers, facs and councillors) to watch their growingly outrageous antics. one of which I will post on this blog once I get back from Malaysia. (Names omitted to protect the innocent.) I went with absolutely no intention of getting wet, and indeed I stayed dry, escaping the numerous attempts to drag me into the sea. The rest of the afternoon I spent doing sand sculpture and scaring the heck out of beachgoers, pictures which again I will post upon my return to Singapore. On the whole, it was an enjoyable outing (though I did end up badly sunburned and with a splitting headache). Labels: beach, mad camp, outing |
