Day 2 of intensive slacking.

Yesterday, the Muggers' Gang finally went on our first outing.

After long, hard weeks of toil, Zheyuan, Chin Khang, Hema and Cherie finally finished their promos (a day after Glennda and I had been happily partying) and we went out to celebrate. We'd already intended to watch 'Balls of Fury' after seeing the trailer at Macdonald's last Tuesday after the Econs paper. As always, I came to school in the morning to put in some squash before the outing.

So there I was, whacking the ball against the wall multiple times and feeling like there was someone watching me... Honestly, I'm disinclined to think that the squash court is that badly haunted, judging by the number of times that I've played squash late at night and alone. Or the number of times that I went to the classroom block's toilets alone at night without a light (because I was banking on the motion-sensor automatic lights). Maybe I'm just AWFULLY, TERRIBLY numb to the spirit world.

But anyway, I finished my workout and the others finished their exams and all was well and happy. Chin Khang and Zheyuan wanted to go back to their secondary school first so us girls went to Jurong Point first, with very many other JJcians. We kept meeting people there, like Jasmine and Jia Jun who were leaving when we went in. Later on, I saw Christina the J2 councillor and my Sec 4 classmate, Kalai, out with her MI friends. I even met a JJ squash grand senior :)

After a great lunch at Pizza Hut (heavily laced with gossip)and everybody got over the shock of my Parmesan cheese mountain, it was time to buy the movie tickets. We spent about 10 minutes trying to decide between Resident Evil and the original Balls of Fury because the guys wanted to watch something bile-inducing. Jean and Vivien joined us but Vivien left later on to fulfill her 'mission'. In the end, we settled on Resident Evil. Hema and I went halvsies on a mini tub of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie because I am now officially addicted to Ben and Jerry's and I didn't want to inhale that glorious tub by myself. Besides, gorefest movies make me go off food, mainly because I don't want to distract myself from the bloodshed. Zheyuan and Jean bought a MASSIVE tin of popcorn and the tallest soda cup I've ever seen. :)

I guess we must have been really bad moviegoers because when we got into the theatre, we got the wrong seats so we had to play a little Musical Chairs. Not easy when the legroom is occupied by bulky schoolbags. We kept talking through the movie, and Glennda, Jean and I would frequently cover our faces with our jackets to block out the dismembered corpses/infected crows/general gore. After the movie, I noticed one of the guys who sat behind us giving the guys the death-glare. Oops.

We mooched about for a bit at the pet store admiring the adorable furry animals and the rotund, lovable Pembrooke corgi in permanent residence at the store. Saturated on cuteness, we went to the Jurong West Community Library where we met Vivien again. Apparently, today is Pearlyn's birthday celebration.
